We “triple-dog-dared” our FIDO team to be ready to distribute triple the amount of food this month at our December pet food pantry and they worked hard over the past month, met the challenge, and did just that yesterday. We don’t have our totals in yet but we think we dished out over 30,000 pounds of food! The line never stopped from 7 am until 4 pm when we had to end the day. We were grateful for the amazing weather on such a busy day.
A huge thank you goes out to Diane and Rachel for organizing all the food pick-ups and deliveries (even from Florida during one of their vacations last week) to get us to that magic 3 month/triple mark. And to all the volunteers who prepped food every Wednesday evening (and some Sundays and Thursdays too). And our incredible event day crew from set up to clean up (both long time and new volunteers) including a Secret Santa who made a donation to help with client fees. You were all great! Thank you for helping FIDO keep so many dogs and cats fed this winter.
