Projects

After losing some time over the past couple of months due to COVID and supply chain issues, FIDO’s fence program is back at it baby! We knocked out 8 projects this past week, despite being at the pit of the winter cold weather. With the temperature hovering around 20 degrees and snow coming down pretty good on Friday, we headed out.

Our first set of canine clients was a goofy Boston Terrier mix named Squeaks and her best little bud Daisy May. They both live inside the house. But Squeaks is a girl on the go and recently got loose and “gently” hit by a car. Fortunately, she healed from her minor injuries. But that altercation was much too close for comfort. Their fence project was pretty straightforward: a 10′ x 20′ enclosure surrounding a rear door of the house. Squeaks here was loving the new snow, Daisy May not so much.

As the snow continued to blow, we drove to our next house where Bones the pit bull lives. We added a long line of fencing, a gate, and a few other “creative carpentryā€¯ repairs of existing wooden fencing. By tying onto several existing structures, we were able to provide Bones with pretty much a fully fenced backyard off a back door of the house. With our hands and feet pretty much frozen, we wrapped up our second gig of the day and headed back to FIDO. Two more fence projects in the bag. ?
