Our FIDO Case Management Team has completed 195 home visits so far this year. In a recent 5 day period they completed 35 visits, ranging from a case of neglect where an Animal Control Officer had to be called, to follow-ups with existing FIDO clients, to fence project follow ups, to dropping off dog houses and/or bags of straw to fill dog houses. As a result, our home visit case load is currently under control and we are able to follow up on new requests or concerns within 1-2 days and in some many cases even the same day.
Great job to our Case Management staff, and each of our volunteer assistants who have stepped up to help with this often difficult work. And thanks to the partnership we have with Indianapolis Animal Care Services where we are able to utilize the services of Animal Control Officers approximately 6 days a month to assist with home visits and Outreach. And finally, thank you for your continued support that enables us to reach countless dogs in need.
