About Parvo
Parvo (or Canine parvovirus) is a highly contagious and deadly virus that can impact dogs at any age and is particularly dangerous for puppies under 1 year of age. But Parvo can be prevented with vaccination for dogs as early as six (6) weeks old.
About the Parvo Vaccine
The Parvo vaccine is a multi-stage process, meaning your dog needs a follow-up vaccine for the most effective protection. Vaccinate your puppy with the parvo combo vaccine at 6 weeks of age, and then AGAIN every 3-4 weeks until 16 weeks of age. ALL DOGS, including adult dogs, need at least 2 PARVO combo vaccinations given 3-4 weeks apart. We are covering the first two vaccines with this clinic.
We will be hosting an additional Vaccine Clinic for the 2nd Parvo booster vaccine in the schedule on Saturday, May 11 from 11 am-3 pm. *We strongly recommend that your dog receive both vaccines.
